So my girls and I went to a free concert at UMD last week to see the one and only, J Cole. I mean J Ferb opened [& flirted with AP] but who really cares about him when you're anticipating a performance from JCole??? *looks around for objections* Exactly! I'm so in love with his lyrics, beats, his drive, education, and now his stage presence. He's so comfortable with his fans and doesn't get big headed.

The BEST thing about that night was when I sat on stage. He shook my hand [along with many other fans around me] then he glanced my way and gave me the "Yeeeah! You know all my lyrics little lady" smirk. SICED was not the word. I think my heart stopped for like 5 seconds. It was an euphoric moment. Wale and Tre of UCB also came out & show love. But again, who cares about them when you're watching J Cole??? *looks around for objections* Exactly! lol

Side note: They kept pulling this fat bitch who DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THE WORDS TO HIS SONGS on stage. That was a blower. lol

HAIR: CRACK SYSTEM.

So if you don't know already, or if you even care to know, my hair is all natural. People always ask me what exactly it is that I do to my hair. Well, I usually beautify my hair every three weeks and get my ends trimmed every two months. Here's the process.

1. Before washing my hair, I comb it out to avoid matting. I then wash it twice with the DooGro Tingling Growth Shampoo. I prefer stimulating/tingling products because they really open the pores to deep cleanse, condition, and moisturize the hair.

2. This is the most important step... the crack. I towel dry my hair then part it into about 6 sections and spread the Organic's Hair Mayonnaise in it, combing with a paddle brush. Never ever brush wet hair. It can cause major breakage & split ends.

3. Depending on what month it is, I crack a raw egg, whip it good, then add that on my hair. This adds protein and helps bring out your hairs natural shine. I place a plastic cap on my head & let it sit for about 30min. Sitting under a dryer is recommended but optional.

4. I rinse the crack out with warm water then spread the DooGro Growth Repair Conditioner in it. I comb through it with a wide tooth comb then add in the DooGro Leave-In Growth Treatment.

5. Letting your hair air dry is recommended but optional. I get impatient sometimes so I end up blow-drying it then using the ceramic flat irons to straighten it. I use the DooGro Mega Thick Growth Oil & a little curl wax for my edges and VAWLA!

Side Note: Its good to be consistent with one brand because every product does something different, they can't all be mixed. I recommend the DooGro System, obviously. LOL

-Don't you hate it when there's a piece of hair tickling you somewhere on your back but you can't reach it. ugh! That's what's happening to me right now.

-I be rappin like shit... but people listen =)

-I love planning in advance, it gives me hope. I have a great Valentines gift for you & it ain't shoes baby! LOL

People are brought into our lives for different reasons. He, is a sign of inspiration. I'm not saying this because I like him, I'm saying it because its the truth. Its not about what he did [or didn't do] to me physically, its about what he taught me mentally. Now, I may not understand all of the information I find but believe me, there is more to the picture than what the eye catches. The littlest things we see in everyday life have the biggest meanings behind them and that's why research is necessary. His artistry, his music, its more than lyrics, far beyond metaphors and similes. It serves the purpose not to brainwash but to entertain and cultivate minds with truth. I don't think anyone knows the true definition of a best friend until they meet someone whom they can feel free around. No cover ups, no readjusting, just you. My best friend is Sandra G. I met her in high school but first hung out with her on her 19th birthday, April 20, 2008. It was a random invite but I was more than grateful to accept. She unknowingly picked me up off the ground when I was at a low point in my life. She was the light down the new path that God had created for me. We've never fought nor have we even argued with one another, that says a lot about our alliance. She is the person who can be sincerely happy for my situation even when she's not happy with her own. She is my air, my heart, my number one reason for wanting to be here today. She's my mother, the woman I love like no other. She has created so much out of the little she had in the past. She proved to me that where there's a will, there's a way. Her way. When I'd focus on the wrong things as a kid, she reminded me that there's more to life than increasing its speed. Slow down and live age appropriate. As her 16 inch locks sway to the beat of her footsteps, her curvy silhouette and youthful, make up free skin defines that beauty is skin deep. I thank the lord for her, not only because she birthed me, but because she raised me to be the young lady that I am, independently. We bump heads from time to time but always seem to hug tighter in end. She is a mother of two, a lover, and a friend.
